Forget Me Not is a reflection on extinct and endangered UK flora in the age of the Anthropocene. The current ecological age in which human activity has been the dominant influence on the climate and the environment.
While the impacts of the Anthropocene are often viewed as distant, unfolding elsewhere, or sometime later. This project brings attention to the quiet disappearance of native flowering plant species that is occurring now, in the UK. It documents 49 species that are classified as endangered to extinct. These losses are not in isolation; they signify a broader collapse of biodiversity - one that threatens the stability of the ecosystems we, too, depend on. Forget-Me-Not serves as a reminder: to notice, to care, and not to let these species fade unseen. It reaffirms our shared responsibility to protect what still remains and hopes to create a renewed connection with the natural world and awareness of its fragile beauty.
