Chesil Cove Beach Safety

For my project I am to create a beach safety publication focusing on Chesil Beach, located in Portland. The magazine will be designed to share essential beach safety tips in a fun, engaging and easy-to-remember way, rebranding what we typically see in traditional public safety leaflets and pamphlets. Inside, it will feature useful information about Chesil Beach itself, advice on sea safety and tips for staying safe while enjoying sea sports like kayaking and windsurfing. It will also cover key sun safety advice. Due to the lack of safety signage and lifeguards on Chesil Beach, I identified a clear gap in keeping both locals and tourists safe while at the beach or out at sea. Rather than leaving the chesil beach lovers guessing on their safety, I wanted to create a resource that is both visually engaging and filled with practical, easy-to-follow advice. This magazine aims to bring confidence to every beachgoer with the knowledge they need to enjoy Chesil Beach safely.
