Is The Internet Dead is a project focused on digital nostalgia. It explores the internet through the themes of the uncanny and the Dead Internet theory. The project suggests that the internet is no longer shaped by its users; instead, it has become a space for reminiscing about an older, simpler digital past. By employing early internet aesthetics, the work investigates two central questions: How can digital nostalgia serve as a critique of the commodified internet today? And what does the old internet reveal about our relationship with technology? The project will be presented as a projection of animation, accompanied by a display table or plinth featuring physical artefacts such as books and posters.
