The female body has long been misunderstood and underrepresented within the healthcare industry, resulting in critical gaps in research, diagnosis, and treatment. Historically, medical studies have centred on male bodies. This has led to the frequent misdiagnosis, dismissal, or neglect of conditions that uniquely or disproportionately affect women, such as endometriosis. This systemic oversight has left many individuals feeling unheard, unsupported, and without adequate care. Endo. Matters. is a design-led, educational app created to empower and engage young individuals living with endometriosis. The project responds to the lack of accessible, relatable support by offering a platform that combines interactive tools, informative content, and user-led features to bridge the gap between awareness and action. Focusing on accessibility, clarity, and comfort, the app helps users better understand their symptoms, track their experiences, and access accurate, inclusive information. The visual design supports a sense of ease and trust, creating a space where users can learn, reflect, and connect, it’s a space for education, empowerment, and advocacy in menstrual health.
