To Gather

To Gather explores gathering through people, places and possessions to illustrate how the items we collect, curate and communicate within domestic spaces influence our sense of belonging. Through analysing the objects we choose to gather and share around the table, the project demonstrates how these items impact our narratives and connect us to the people and places in our lives. The table setting becomes both a literal and symbolic space where stories are shared, and the act of coming together is celebrated. To Gather showcases 60 sentimental possessions gathered from the home, paired with a verb related to gathering and reflections on place and time.
